We are adding another pet to our home. Here she is. She's a week early but very healthy. The mommy had only 2 puppies. Yorkie's usually have 2-4. So in 8 weeks we'll be bringing her home. I'm open to suggestions on names.

Welcome Home Ryan. October 2nd. Ryan came home for his 30 day leave from Afghanistan. He returned to the states in Early September. He came home to quite the welcoming. We were able to have the Veterans of America represented and the high school he graduated from Senior High, was the their drum line. We also had KULR 8 news and The Billings Gazette. He also received an electric guitar from Hanson Music. We were so impressed and thankful for all these organizations. KULR 8 was too and so they turned his welcome home more into a feature and had a second interview at home and was also on the sunday 4pm and 10pm news. He was featured a couple more times the next few days and also in The Gazette Paper and a video on the papers website. We are so glad to have Ryan home safe and sound. He'll be home in North Carolina at least for another year before he is deployed again.

I made this cake for one of David's baby shower. His room is turtles and frogs. I love making these cakes for my grandkids. I get to do their baby shower and 1st birthdays. I also make their cakes when I'm able to attend. So far no disappointments. And it's lots of fun. We (Samantha and I) found a picture and cut the cake in that shape. I think it turned out pretty good for an amateur.

It was a whirlwind when we found out that Samantha & Aaron were going to adopt. Only a week and they have a beautiful baby boy. I went to Texas for a couple of weeks and Mark joined me towards the end. I was even able to give him a bath. We are so glad to have this little bundle of joy to family fold. David makes him our 5th grand child. Leaving was so hard. I hate that the grand-babies are so far away. Look forward to future visits and video chats.

Here's some more pics of the truck, in the hood pic the rear inner wheel wells were rusty, new ones on the way! Getting ready to weld in the new cab corners making the truck rust free! The upholsterer got fabric for seats and headliner colors are awesome! New dash and door panels will be here soon, will be sending color chip books down with your Mom and Dad. Let us know what you decide. Will be putting box back together and spraying bed liner as well as painting jambs and interior soon, will send more pics as we make more progress!

Welcome to the family Baby David Aaron Lauritzen. We are so excited to have you here. Samantha and Aaron are the proud parents of this beautiful baby boy. He was born on August 9th, 2010 at 11:40 am weighing 6lb 11ounces, 18.9 inches long. And was adopted on August 11, and brought home on friday. We can't wait to see him in just a couple weeks.

While we were in Yellowstone National Park for our little family reunion, we wanted to say hello to Ryan. I know he tries to check out the family blogs when he can. We all pitched in and made these posters for him. We love you very much Ryan. And can't wait till you come home.

We'll we spent some time in Yellowstone National Park. Samantha flew in and Katrina and her family drove up from California. We also had Adam, Kaycee and Jonathan. The only one missing was Private Ryan. As we were driving in the park to our campsite, we saw a bear and her cub and was held up for over an hour and a half by buffalo.

While we were on our way to Yellowstone National Park we hit a deer. Tried so hard to avoid it but it was determined to be in our way. We felt sick. First time since living in Montana (23 years) that we actually hit one.

the truck door was jammed so i couldn't open the door the whole trip. Had to crawl over the center to get out Mark's side. What a workout.

Damages estimated at $4000 or more. First the house from the Tornado and hail damage now the car. Yikes.

Here's what the hardware looks like. We switched all the outlets to black and put brushed nickle covers on them. Looks great with the white cabinets and brown walls. Also I installed the pullout drawers myself on the big cabinet. Took me awhile with tendinitis in my hands and arms. I love all the cabinet space. We have so much usable cabinet space that we did before. I can actaually bring stuff out of the garage.( Mark's really happy about that). We need to install trimming around window and floor boards, Microwave and when we get the countertop installed i'll have my sink and dishwasher back. And my icemacker installed. We'll eventually get crown molding done on top. But for now. Were almost done. I'll post finished pictures when were all put back together.

work in progress. the cabinets are almost up. We had a little mis-mearsurement with the window and with a little panic and help from Zana at Lowes everthing worked out. We were hoping to upper cabinets done on saturday then finish on sunday with the lower. We lost the whole day on Saturday. So Mark worked till 2am on Monday so the we didn't have to cancel the countertop people again for Monday morning at 11:am. We had to switch out the cabinet to the right of the window for a smaller one so now the window will be centered. I still get to keep my monster(every calls) fridge. Everything looks great don't you think?

Walls are finished but Mark didn't like the job that was hired out on the ceiling. The lines showed to much so he had to redo the ceiling then with the texturing it got everywhere so we had to repaint the walls and ceiling. So worth the two weeks it set us back. I love my husband so much for his dedication detail in work.

Believe it or not this is the original wallpaper that was in our kitchen when we moved in 20 years ago. found these pieces behind the cabinets when we removed them. Since that time we've wallpapered over it then painted over that. This time we replaced the walls completely with this remodel.

Okay so as most of you have heard. Last sunday our city was hit with a powerful tornado and sever hail that lasted for over an hour. baseball size and even some cantaloupe size. This is the worst of the all the damage. He will need body shop , new windshield, front grill. We had a cover on it but it two was destroyed. If they can't replace ill just patch is up with army material. Make it look a little better. We've called insurance and getting the ball going on getting if fixed bbefore we go pick him at the airport when he gets home.

Well this is where we are as of last night (monday) . The walls are all up and the taping is being done today as we speak. We're getting closer. Can't wait. We also got our new refrigerator last week. With the kitchen being revamped we can now have a wider fridge. Love having the freezer on the bottom. so much room now , and i love the temperature control, it has fast freeze and fast chill. Love it love it love it.

Here's an update on the remodeling of our kitchen. We finally have all the walls down. I can't explain what kind of smell was coming this pipe (pic #3). Today we bought all the sheet rock, outlets and covers, garbage disposal and light for over the sink. We were able to find someone to take the old cupboards so that was nice we didn't have to trash them. Hoping to have the walls done this week. Having someone come in the do the taping and texturing ( we hope). The cabinets come in on Thursday so next week we'll be installing them. Can't wait for the finished project. Keep in tune for updates.

We sold our camper and so with the money we decided to get new cabinets and counter top. We are so excited. We need to redo the walls so we can have open space above the cabinets. Congratulations to Tanner Sprenkle for winning his 3rd State Championship. He hopes to do 4 year in which only 17 other wrestlers in the history of Montana. He's hoping to be the 18th. well the way he wrestles he'll do it. We are so proud of you Tanner. Keep it up. Both Trent and Tucker are wrestlers also.

A year or so ago Katrina introduced to me a fun store. A ceramic store that includes the firing, painting, stenciling, ect. of ceramics for one fee price. I've always loved doing ceramics but for awhile we haven't had a ceramic store in our area. Now we (Billings) have several places that allow us to personally make nice gifts for any occasion. So a couple weeks ago I took Kaycee and we made these. It was a fun one on one for us. What great gifts with a personal touch made with our hands and heart.

I made this sandwich plate. I love the textures.

Kaycee painted this one. It's for Grandma Pat McKee's birthday for February.

I did this bowl for Grandma Patty Kibby's birthday. Also in February.

I did this one this week for Grandpa Ron and Pat McKee's 25th Wedding Anniversary. Silver is for 25th so I did grey with sparkles. I traced the design in pencil and painted it in black. When the piece is fired it burns off the pencil marks.

I finally got my hair long enough to donate to "Locks of Love" and donated 11". Now I'm sporting a new look and I really love it. The stylist got me all dolled up to see Christopher Cross perform with The Billings Symphony. It was an absolute awesome show. We had front row seats and afterwords he signed his CD's and i shook hads with him too.

When i went to check on little Gracie i found her with a diaper off and sound asleep. Apparently she had a poopy diaper then decided to take it off before she fell asleep. Needless to say Justin woke her up to bathe and put a diaper back on her. This was just so funny. Katrina has been having a hard time keeping Gracie's clothes on. Even in the winter.

Zucchini, Cranberries, Fudge oh my. Yep it's that time of year. I've made over 30 loaves of both Zucchini and Cranberry bread. And tonight started on Fudge. I've made 2 batches so far and 5 or 6 more tomorrow. Chocolate, chocolate w/nuts and heath pieces, peanut butter and mint. Will make some of them combos. Hope everyone will enjoy them. Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. As you can see we had some great pies. Samantha and I were incharge of the pies and we made plenty. Samantha made pumpkin pies from Scratch, even the pumpkin was fresh. No canned stuff. I made the chocolate and the lemon meringue, I love how tall I can make the peaks. And of course we had to have cherry pie. I made all crust for the pies and Samantha cut out all the decorations to decorate the pies. We had fun.

Then after the eating was done, we had to watch some football. I was the only female that wanted to watch. The guys and me moved up stairs and all the other women stayed downstairs to watch Dancing with the Stars on Tivo. I love my football.

Mark went to Stillwater Plateau to do big horn sheep hunting. He got real close but, no cigar. He found tracks to one going down this mountain so he planted himself hoping it would return. The family did a great job of decorating the car. I remember when the same was done by her family. Only it left paint damage. Adam was a little upset because he thought the same was done to his. But his sister made sure that it was all safe and washable.

I got a new computer. A iMac. This is my first Mac and look how thin it is. It has everything in the monitor. And no computer noise or heat. It is sooooo cool. I guess I have to say my sister was right all along about them being so cool. I also love the applications it comes with.
